When the link will not paste: DIY Order and forwarding on MambaBuy
Two side doors into the same warehouse. One is for marketplaces the search bar does not read, the other for goods you bought yourself.
Links from JD, Pinduoduo or Xianyu go through DIY Order
The search bar reads Taobao, Tmall, 1688 and Weidian. For other Chinese platforms MambaBuy's tutorial sends you to the DIY Order form: drop in the link, type the product name and the exact specification, upload an image, add a note only if you have a special request, then pay goods and domestic shipping. MambaBuy buys within 24 hours and the order joins the normal flow at scene six.
Write the specification the way the seller writes it. If the listing calls a colour "1" and a size "L recommended 120 to 140 jin", copy that, not your own translation, because the buyer matches text against the listing.
Manual orders by chat now carry a percentage fee
A manual order is different from DIY: you pass links to MambaBuy staff over WhatsApp, WeChat or email and they key them in. From 15 October 2026 that costs 3% of the goods value under CNY 5,000 and 1.5% at CNY 5,000 or more, charged on the whole order and only on goods actually bought. MambaBuy's own examples: CNY 500 of goods carries CNY 15, CNY 2,000 carries CNY 60. Before that date the fee was CNY 35 per ten links.
The notice also gives the way out: place the order yourself on the website and there is no service fee. For a first haul of a few links, the website route is both cheaper and faster.
Forwarding goods you bought yourself
If you already have a Taobao account, or a friend is posting something to you inside China, MambaBuy works as a forwarder. Get the warehouse address under Forwarding, Warehouse Address once logged in, then pre-register the parcel: courier tracking number, product price and quantity, plus any extras you want (a QC count, the original shoe box kept, a CNY 15 product video). Registered parcels show under Warehouse, Not stored until they arrive.
The forwarding rules differ from bought orders in one way that matters: badly damaged parcels may be refused at the door, and without the inspection service MambaBuy takes no responsibility for faults that arrived with the parcel. Forwarded and bought goods can share one international shipment once both are stored.
Search by image and the size assistant
The camera icon in the search bar uploads a photo and returns lookalike listings, which is handy when a picture is all you have. The size assistant (help article 7201) is a measuring guide rather than a converter. Its most useful lines: Chinese tops are often labelled like 160/68A, meaning height 160 cm, chest or waist 68 cm and an A body type; jeans may read 29W x 30L in inches; measure feet in the afternoon and use the larger foot; and wide feet usually need the next half size, because Chinese shoe sizes measure length only.
